Elizabeth Warren's Progressive Commandments

Elizabeth Warren recently by outlined  her 11 tenets or commandments of progressivism. Yes, that Elizabeth Warren who claims to be of Cherokee heritage, but can't provide any evidence whatsoever of her claim.

Never mind that the woman has been proven to be a bald faced liar on the heritage issue, she's going to tell us how er ought to live and how much business must pay for their employees as she dictates in her 11 progressive commandments.

Read them below with our comments and watch the video after that for a further examination and dismantling of these absurd points:

1. "We believe that Wall Street needs stronger rules and tougher enforcement, and we're willing to fight for it."

There are already thousands of rules governing Wall Street and they aren't being enforced and no one went to jail for the mortgage meltdown of 2006-2008. The SEC completely ignored the $50 billion fraud perpetrated by Bernie Madoff going on right under their nose and did nothing. We don't more regulation, we need current laws to be enforced.

2. "We believe in science, and that means that we have a responsibility to protect this Earth."

Of course we have a responsibility to protect the Earth, but that isn't really connected to believing in science, especially the agenda driven science of big government progressives like Elizabeth Warren.

3. "We believe that the Internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit big corporations, and that means real net neutrality."

Yes, the internet shouldn't be rigged to benefit large corporations, but inviting Big Government to do even more regulating and snooping around is not the answer.

4. "We believe that no one should work full-time and still live in poverty, and that means raising the minimum wage."

If you work full time at a dead end job that's not really anyone's fault but your own. You can believe all you want, but no founding father in our nation's history would have ever imagined having this minimum wage debate. On another note, if government in collusion with the Federal Reserve wouldn't have spent the last several decades debasing our currency, the current minimum wage would have a lot more purchasing power.

5. "We believe that fast-food workers deserve a livable wage, and that means that when they take to the picket line, we are proud to fight alongside them."

Fast food workers deserve a wage that is competitive in the marketplace. I can say I deserve one million dollars a year, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get it. Just stating you believe someone deserves something means absolutely nothing.

6. "We believe that students are entitled to get an education without being crushed by debt."

If big government would get out of the school loan business, costs would go down. Government does nothing without messing it up.

7. "We believe that after a lifetime of work, people are entitled to retire with dignity, and that means protecting Social Security, Medicare, and pensions."

You still have to watch the way you spend your own money if you want to "retire with dignity." Oh, and Social Security would be more solvent if government wouldn't have borrowed trillions from the program over the last few decades and allowed everybody and their brother to easily get some kind of disability.

8. "We believe—I can't believe I have to say this in 2014—we believe in equal pay for equal work."

Please give us real examples of where this isn't happening today.

9. "We believe that equal means equal, and that's true in marriage, it's true in the workplace, it's true in all of America."

Except that I can't print my own money, buy things with other people's money and never pay it back or own a mean looking weapon in some states just like government can. That certainly doesn't seem very equal.

10. "We believe that immigration has made this country strong and vibrant, and that means reform."

Of course immigration have made us a strong nation, but the delusional Ms Warren forgets to mention, that was LEGAL immigration that made us strong. Once again, we don't need more laws and reform, we need to start enforcing some of the thousands of laws already on the books.

11. "And we believe that corporations are not people, that women have a right to their bodies. We will overturn Hobby Lobby and we will fight for it. We will fight for it!"

I believe a corporation is not a person as well. Is there a thinking person on the planet, except a liberal progressive with an agenda, that would equate a corporation with a person? However, people own corporations and most of the ones I have worked for have not decided the benefit of giving me a Ferrari was in the best interest of their company. The government has no business demanding companies pay for a benefit to any employee that they don't want to pay for. it is none of the government's business and if you don't like it, go work somewhere else.

Watch the video where Stefan Molyneux completely destroys every one of her absurd commandments much better than I have done:
