Michelle Obama Good Morning America slective edit

It is apparent to all Second Amendment loving Americans how out of touch most liberals are when it comes to the heated gun control debate we are having in this country. Not only do many liberals not really understand the arguments on universal background checks, gun licensing, what an assault weapons is, what the Second Amendment is really about, and the difference between a semiautomatic and an automatic weapon, apparently neither does the First Lady of the United States.

In an interview on Good Morning America yesterday with Robin Roberts, First Lady Michelle Obama talked about Hadiya Pendleton, the 15-year-old who sang at the Presidential Inauguration and then was was shot and killed in Chicago a few days later. On the program, Mrs. Obama said this, “She was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need, I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first.”

Of course everyone that really knows about firearms laws knows that automatic weapons are exceptionally rare as they require a special permit that not just everyone can get. And to show how out of touch the First Lady is about guns, while Mrs Obama claimed Hadiya was killed because kids had "automatic weapons" it turns out that Chicago police reported that Pendleton was shot by a man who “opened fire with a handgun before fleeing in a waiting car” according to NPR.

However, in order to not make the First Lady appear as out of touch as she really is, ABC edited the footage on Good Morning America to make Michelle appear to know what she was talking about.

Here are the transcripts below as first uttered by Mrs Obama and as appears on the web edition of the story and then as edited By Good Morning America for the broadcast program.

Web edition version which is unedited:

“She was standing out in a park with her friends in a neighborhood blocks away from where my kids…grew up, where our house is. She had just taken a chemistry test. And she was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need,” she said. “I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first.”

ABC Good Morning America edited version shown to the nation:

"She was standing out in a park with her friends in a neighborhood blocks away from where my kids grow – grew – up, where our house is. She had just taken a chemistry test. And she was caught in the line of fire because some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need. I just don’t want to keep disappointing our kids in this country. I want them to know that we put them first."

Nothing like reporting on the news and letting the chips lie where they may fall, the State Run Media has to spit shine the truth so everyone, especially the First Lady, actually looks like they know what they're talking about. See the Washington Examiner for more.

Shameful, simply shameful...
