John McCain running for president in 2016?

We can hardly even believe this is true. Senator John McCain, the poster boy of many Republicans and conservatives for being a RINO, said he is "seriously giving that a lot of thought" when asked if he would consider running again for President of the United States.

With the numerous times he has criticized other senators like Ted Cruz and the times he has voted with and compromised with President Obama, especially when it comes to Obamacare, McCain would surely be crushed by even a mildly Republican challenger, much less someone like the articulate Ted Cruz or Rand Paul.

All it would have taken was for probably just one more strong senator to have stood up to Obamacare and McCain not only compromised with Obama, he criticized the Tea Party and Ted Cruz at every opportunity he got.

McCain also lost to Barack Obama and he will be 80 years old in 2016. He doesn't have a snowball's chance.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) said Tuesday that he is considering running for another term in 2016, when he would be 80 years old.

“I’m serious thinking about maybe giving another opportunity for you to vote for or against me in a few years from now,” McCain said on KFYI-AM in Phoenix. “I’m seriously giving that a lot of thought.”

Asked by host Barry Young to clarify if he was saying he might run again, McCain said: “That would not be wrong.”

The New York Times’s Mark Leibovich, who is in Arizona following McCain, first tweeted the news.
