Islamic Group CAIR Doesn’t Want You To Know About Radical Islam, Tries To Ban Professor’s Speech

Radical Islam did this

Apparently some of those that follow the religion of Islam don't have a clue as to how the First Amendment works in the United States. Just because husbands get to beat their wives and treat them as property and individuals have no freedom to practice the religion of their choice in countries like Saudi Arabia, that doesn't mean that we run the same kind repressive laws here. But if The Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, had their way, that is exactly what would happen.

CAIR seems to be more about keeping the truth hidden of what radical Islam really is, than being a civil rights organization for Muslims as they claim to be. Right now they are trying to keep a University Of Central Florida professor from speaking at a public venue in Brevard County Florida on, "The Islamic Threat to America" and are calling the group sponsoring the talk, ACT! for America, a “an anti-Muslim hate group."

Let's just get one thing straight, CAIR is an anti-American hate group and they are the ones who need a lesson in how our system of Constitutional law works in America, not Americans trying to warn fellow citizens about radical Islam. If there is no radical Islamic threat to America, then CAIR should not give a rip about what a lone ranger college professor has to say.

Maybe CAIR has something to hide. They are just as adroit at playing the race card as Al Sharpton is. That should tell you something.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) continues its epic struggle to understand the First Amendment.

In the latest incident, the Muslim civil liberties group has asked government officials in Brevard County, Florida to deny the use of a county-owned meeting room to a group CAIR has tagged as “an anti-Muslim hate group,” reports the Orlando Sentinel.

The group CAIR opposes is the local chapter of ACT! for America, an organization that stands particularly athwart the threat posed by radical Islam.

ACT! for America wants to use a committee room in the tiny coastal town of Viera to host a speech by Jonathan Matusitz, a tenured communications professor at the University of Central Florida down the road in Orlando.

Matusitz is slated to speak on Tuesday at a session called “The Islamic Threat to America.”

CAIR thinks the government should prohibit the UCF professor’s speech.

“It creates the perception of endorsement and approval by the Brevard County government of this group’s hateful views,” Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR’s communications director, told the Sentinel.

Hassan Shibly, a lawyer and executive director of CAIR of Tampa, said he is normally in favor of free speech. “But this individual makes statements to incite violence against the Muslim community, so I think that the line has been crossed,” Shibly said of the professor at a major American research university. “ACT! is an extremist group no different than the KKK. And if the KKK wanted to use that room, there would be a protest.”
