With the overwhelming scandals that are consuming the Obama administration right now including IRS targeting of conservative groups, the AP reporters phone records scandal and of course Benghazi, one wonders whether Presidential Press Secretary Jay Carney is is putting on an act, or if he genuinely believes the rhetoric that emanates from his mouth. In a brazen display of the usual arrogance we are accustomed to from Mr Press Secretary, Carneys answer to a question from Piers Morgan as to restoring faith in Obama's scandal ridden presidency as of late, was initially, "You're concocting scandals here that don't exist."
And as is most certainly expected from the shamelessly biased Morgan since he is like a bulldog with conservatives, there of course was no followup to Carney's absurd denial. Earlier in the interview before what is on the clip below, Morgan called Benghazi, "A total concoction by Republicans." Again, that statement is so absurd in and of itself that there really isn't any comment to repudiate it with except that I wonder if the families of the 4 dead American's as a result of this administration's incompetence are satisfied with the answers to why their loved ones died.
Let's not forget that both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden told family members at a funeral that their relatives died as a result of a hateful YouTube video and that they were going to prosecute the person who made the video. I wonder if Jay Carney has any comment on the concoction of that ridiculous story line.
Here's how the end of the interview went on Piers Morgan's show last night with the video part of this segment below that:
PIERS MORGAN: Final question, Jay Carney. Obviously the president made a big deal when he came into office of being not like previous administrations and was going to be much more transparent. The charge today after this week is that you have had that reputation for transparency pretty heavily dented. Do you accept that and just on a general picture, how are you going to move on now and restore perhaps faith that some Americans have lost this week in your openness and honesty?
JAY CARNEY: Well, I’m not sure, again, you’re concocting scandals here that don’t exist, especially with regard to the Benghazi affair that was contrived by Republicans and I think has fallen apart largely this week. The fact of the matter is that this administration has a record on transparency that outdoes any previous administration, and we are committed to that. The president is committed to that.
