Jay Leno Obama Guantanamo Bay Closing

NBC’s outgoing Tonight Show host Jay Leno got in one of the last Obama potshots likely to be seen on the show after Jimmy Fallon takes over soon. President Obama has had numerous failed promises, as do almost all politicians, but one of the center pieces of his campaign and early presidency was to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay Cuba that houses prisoners or war and terrorists from both the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.

Apparently President Obama has found it much harder to live up to this promise that he originally had anticipated. It is always easy for politicians to make these ridiculous promises just to buy votes when they have little understanding of what actually goes into making a foolish pledge and the necessity of having a prison like Gitmo open. One day maybe Americans will wise up to the crap that politicians so easily commit to without really having a clue as to how they will actually get those promises done.

Anyway, here's what Jay had to say - "President Obama held a press conference earlier today, and he said he still wants to close the Guantanamo Bay prison facility, but he doesn’t know how to do it. He should do what he always does: declare it a small business and tax it out of existence. It will be gone in a minute. Be gone in a minute! One month! Be out of there!"

And if you liberals want to argue the point that Obama didn't say he was going to close Gitmo, or he really didn't mean it, or now it's harder than he thought it was gong to be, here is the President in his own words repeatedly making the closing of Gitmo a fundamental promise of his entire presidency that he has failed at, like so many other promises.
