The Princess Grace suite in the Shelbourne Hotel Dublin

Mrs. Obama and her daughters are taking a side trip different from the President's official business and of course Moochelle is traveling like a queen. Who would expect anything less? While the President is Belfast Ireland for 2 days for the G-8 summit, the First Lady and her daughters will be going to Dublin and staying in the Princess Grace Suite of the Five-Star Shelbourne Hotel at a cost of $3,300 per night.

Because the First Lady was somehow able to finagle it that she is doing official business, it appears that the American taxpayer will absorb the cost of the grand excess Moochelle is accustomed to instead of her having to pay for the hotel if she was on vacation. But that isn't all, according to press reports out of Ireland, a total of 30 rooms have been booked in the hotel to accommodate Michelle and her entourage, which would include various staff a bevy of Secret Service agents and of course anyone riding her coattails that may have done her a favor lately.

First Lady Michelle Obama is staying Monday evening in the $3,300-per-night Princess Grace suite of Dublin’s Five-Star Shelbourne Hotel, according to Irish press reports, adding some credence to accusations she is in the city for a quick vacation at taxpayer expense.

Michelle jetted to Dublin Monday afternoon Irish time after a brief stop in Belfast with President Obama, who is in the city for the two-day G-8 Summit.

The White House is billing Michelle’s trip to Dublin as having diplomatic significance, but her itinerary suggests otherwise. She and her daughters will visit the Trinity College library to explore President Obama’s Irish family roots, attend a performance by the world-famous Riverdance troupe, and visit the Wicklow Mountains national forest.
