My wife got her cancellation notice from Florida Blue just the other day. In fact, thanks to Barack Obama, we live in such a politically dishonest climate these days the cancellation letter wasn't even truthful about what it was for. Here's how it started out:
"With the new regulations surrounding the Affordable Care Act, we're happy to let you know that you can keep your current Florida Blue plan until summer 2014." We're happy to let you know you can keep it? You just cancelled my wife's perfectly good health insurance plan that was perfect for our healthy lifestyle and our need for medical care with a near seamless fit, don't lie to us and tell us we can keep it.
Is that how oncologists tell their patients they have an aggressive form of cancer, "We're happy to let you know that you have six months to live?"
We were told by a scheming President Obama that, and I quote, "If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period." He even punctuated his promise with a period, presumably to make it unequivocal. He was in fact, lying.
One well known liberal progressive rag, that I would never link to, wrote, "Ultimately, extending these plans is bad policy: they formed the backbone of the old broken health care system in which sick people were deemed uninsurable and too many healthy people went bankrupt once they became sick."
That seems to be the line from liberals and especially the President's Press Secretary Jay Carney, that these plans were junk plans that did not offer quality healthcare options for those who had purchased them. That too is a lie.
What right does Jay Carney, Nancy Pelosi or Barack Obama himself have to tell me and my wife that the policy my wife spent hours researching, getting a physical for, submitting to blood and urine tests, reading about the benefits, having a nurse come into our home and being required to give out all kinds of personal medical information, that in the end fit the way we have chosen to live and exercise and put the right kinds of food into our body, what right under God's blue sky do any of these political overmasters have to tell my wife that her plan is a "junk plan" and that she in fact, cannot keep her plan?
Are they not just doing this to cover their insidious lies?
The new plan Florida Blue recommended to us, thanks to the arbitrary minimums set by Barack Obama, does not save us anywhere near the $2,500 a year in premiums this scheming president said it would. In fact, as you can see from the screen grab below, my wife's premiums will be raised $2,482.56 per year, almost the exact amount Obamacare was supposed to save us.
My wife's deductible is also being raised by 2.5 times from $2,500 to $6,250 per year. No, we are not paying the kinds of premiums many people have to pay because we are only dealing with a single policy for 1 person (I am in a medical sharing program elsewhere), but nonetheless, what Barack Obama told us and millions of Americans was the worst kind of lie any politician can tell. There are multiple videos of the President in campaign stop after endless campaign stop across this nation, in debate after debate, in media photo-op after photo-op of him saying you can keep your plan and it may save you and your family $2,500 a year in premiums.
That was apparently not a promise in any sense of the word. It was nothing more than a marketing slogan, a campaign talking point and only an arbitrary number and promise just to get gullible people to vote for a liar.
It is evident that Barack Hussein Obama never had any intention of keeping the promise that, "if you like your plan, you can keep your plan."
Mr President, not a single person in the United States of America can ever trust what you say.
