House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is well known for some of the most outrageous statements that are simply outside of the realm of sanity and this past Sunday on CNN's State of the Union, Pelosi said that President Obama shouldn't negotiate over the debt ceiling because there are "no more cuts to make."
CNN's Candy Crowley noted that other presidents have negotiated over the debt ceiling and asked why Obama shouldn't this time around as he has done before and Pelosi's answer was, "Because the cupboard is bare. There's no more cuts to make, it's really important that people understand that. We all want to reduce the deficit." Did you get that? Nancy Pelosi actually has the audacity to say federal spending cannot be cut any further because everything that can be cut already has been cut.
"You cannot have any more cuts just for the sake of cuts" Pelosi continued, noting the deficit reduction that has occurred under President Obama. Of course we all know that most or all of these cuts are non-existent and are simply savings on the rate of increase which in reality are not cuts at all.
What do you think, are there more cuts to be made to the deficit and is Nancy Pelosi off her rocker? Watch the video below and leave your comments after that.
