Our American President Barack Hussein Obama Tweeted today to offer to the Muslim faith, "Michelle and I extend our best wishes for a joyous Eid al-Adha to Muslims around the world."

The Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha is when the faithful commemorate Allah asking Ibrahim to sacrifice his first born son to show his faith. This of course is an interesting holiday for a supposedly Christian President of the United States to even call out because it is in direct conflict with what Christians believe. While the Muslim world celebrates Ibrahim's (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael, Christians believe that while Abraham's first born son was indeed Ishmael, he was not the first born son of Abraham and Sarah, his wife who God said would bear their child.

Thus Christians believe it was Issac who was the first born son who received the promise from God and the lineage that Jesus Christ was eventually born through.
