President Obama Doesn’t Understand The Meaning Of “Grassroots” Campaign

Now that President Obama has been inaugurated for a second long term, he has wasted no time in starting a "Grass Roots" campaign to "support the legislative agenda we voted on," whatever that means. Read that again, from the highest office in the land, from the bully pulpit, from the man that says he wants to give a press conference or a speech and at least 3 State Run Media networks fall all over themselves to broadcast it, we have a grassroots campaign starting up.

Does anyone need to tell Obama that a grass roots campaign doesn't start from the top, that by definition "grass roots" are roots and they start at the bottom, naturally? Wikipedia defines grassroots as, "The term implies that the creation of the movement and the group supporting it are natural and spontaneous, highlighting the differences between this and a movement that is orchestrated by traditional power structures."

Anyone should be able to tell that this is not at all a grassroots campaign at all, but instead a disingenuous propaganda move to drum up more support for an agenda that not even Nancy Pelosi knew when she said about Obamacare, "We have to pass the bill to see what's in the bill." This is just one more example of President Obama's continued, over-the-top phoniness.

As you can see in the screen shot above from the President's website it says:

Our work didn't end on Election Day.

Organizing for Action will support the legislative agenda we voted on, train the next generation of grassroots organizers and leaders, and organize around local issues in our communities.

Watch this video the First Lady recorded about the next step of this grassroots movement, and say you're in.

There you go. Get involved with the President and First Lady to support their legislative agenda. Does this sound as creepy to anyone else as it does to us?
