Steve Kroft 60 Minutes Interview Leaves Out Overboard Ads Comments by President Obama

We can always count on the main stream media for not only being biased, but for also leaving out important information that might lead people to the truth. It is as if sometimes, or really most of the time, they are simply not interested in the truth. While some elements of their newscasts will be true, more than anything else, they have an agenda they want to get across and it doesn't matter what they have to do, they will push that specific agenda.

A case in point is the recent CBS 60 Minutes interview on Sunday with President Obama by Steve Kroft. The story is not what was in the interview, but what CBS decided to leave out of the interview and cut from the broadcast. The question left out of the on air interview dealt with the negative campaign ads and the issue with fact checkers finding inaccuracies in those ads. While there are inaccuracies in both Obama's and Romney's ads, Kroft was asking specifically about some of the ads Obama and PACs that support him were putting out and president Obama's response was:

“Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, are there mistakes that are made, areas where there is no doubt somebody could dispute how we are presenting things?” “You know, that happens in politics.”

And Kroft responded,

“Aren’t the American entitled to the truth? Or a better version of it?"

Then Obama dodged the question with this typical political spin response,

“The truth of the matter is, most of the time we’re having a vigorous debate about a vision for the country and, you know, there’s a lot at stake in this election,” Obama explained. “So is it going to be sharp sometimes? Absolutely. But will the American people ultimately have a good sense of where I want to take the country and where Gov. Romney takes the country? I think they will.”

The video is available on the CBS 60 Minutes website, but was not shown on the broadcast this past Sunday night.
