Will Obama's golf outings be defunded?

Since the White House has cancelled all public tours because of so-called budget sequester cuts (which is simply an unnecessary display of partisanship), Congressman Louie Gohmert of Texas has introduced a Continuing Budget Resolution amendment to cancel President Obama’s golf outings by defending any transportation to and from a golf course for Barack Obama.

Representative Gohmert of Texas has submitted an amendment to the House GOP’s continuing resolution that would prohibit the use of federal money to transport the President to or from a golf course until the White House resumes tours.

“None of the funds made available by a division of this Act may be used to transport the president to or from a golf course until public tours of the White House resume,” the amendment to the continuing resolution reads. Of course the amendment has little chance of passing, but at least someone in Congress has the guts to stand up against the President's foolishness and defund some of his perks.
