Obama food stamp president

Sometimes you hardly know how to react when delusional people say delusional things. That would be the case with this whopper from President Obama in his interview with Bill O'Reilly when he said, "Bill, the point is we have not massively expanded the welfare state, that's just not true."

Oh boy, where do you go with that?

Should we start with the 70% expansion of food stamp recipients since Obama became president? Or how about we go with the 90 million Americans of working age who are no longer in the labor force. Where are they going to get the money to live and eat? Or how about the Social Security Disability Insurance fund that has run a massive deficit all 5 years Obama has been president after having a surplus for 14 straight years leading up to Obama? And it goes on, and on.

More people are out of work (not in the labor force), on food stamps and on some kind of disability than at almost any other time in our nation's history except for the Great Depression and Obama has the audacity to say, he, we, have not expanded the welfare state. Obama did his level best to massively expand the welfare state his first term so he would have plenty of voters for his second term.

The fawning, liberal press corps should be all over this entirely bogus and insulting statement, but do you think you will hear a peep from the State Run Media on this one?

Read the transcript below and watch the jaw dropping video after that:

BILL O'REILLY: I think that you are much more friendly to a nanny state than I am. I'm more of a self-reliance guy, you are a more of a big government will solve your problems guy. That's it?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: And I disagree with that because I think what used to be considered sensible we now somehow label as liberal. Think about it: Social Security, Medicare.

O'REILLY: But you are pay into that. It's the freebies that are are the problem.

OBAMA: What freebies are we talking about? Welfare actually is worth less now than it was 20, 30 years ago. It's worth less than it was under Ronald Reagan.

O'REILLY: Take a look at the disability explosion. I mean, it's insane. The work place isn't any more dangerous now than it was 20 years ago. It's through the roof.

OBAMA: Bill, the point is we have not massively expanded the welfare state, that's just not true. When you take a look at it actually that the levers of support that we provide to folks who are willing to work hard are not that different than they were 30 years ago or 40 years ago or 50 years ago. You and I took advantage of certain things. I don't know but I got some loans to go to college.
