Dan Pfeiffer - IRS targeting conservatives scandal

The Obama administration was in full spin mode with the Sunday morning talk shows today when it sent out White House aid Dan Pfeiffer when he went out to 5 of the political roundtable shows including Meet The Press and had him repeat nearly verbatim the same robot-like talking points. They consisted basically of saying that there were no scandals here and of course blaming the Republicans of making Benghazi, the AP phone records scandal and the IRS targeting scandal out to be more than they are.

Pfeiffer did say that, “There are some very serious issues here, particularly the I.R.S., where there was inexcusable conduct that needs to be fixed. And that’s going to happen.” But he said the president and his staff needed to keep “actually doing the people’s work and fighting for the middle class.” This is so typically Obama, it is nauseating. Let's not get down to the real business of finding out who actually ordered conservative groups to be targeted, let's just get on with the business of the country. Well Mr Pfeiffer part of the business of the country is to get to the bottom of the most corrupt administration in American history. We think that's pretty important business.

While Pfeiffer did a good spin on 5 Sunday talk shows the doosey came when he was asked on This Week With George Stephanopoulos whether he thinks the IRS actions violated the law and whether President Obama thinks they were illegal, and he said this "Look, I can't speak to the law here, the law is irrelevant. The activity was outrageous and inexcusable."

Yes, the activity was most certainly outrageous, but the law would be pretty important, in fact, it is exceptionally important. If Obama or his minions ordered any of these individuals or groups of individuals to be targeted, that would be a conspiracy and someone could get impeached for that.
